Redundancy Calculator Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland runs its own statutory redundancy scheme with different limits from Great Britain. This calculator uses the NI figures.
Why this is a separate calculator. Employment law is devolved in Northern Ireland, and the limits are set by their own order. The age-banded formula is the same, but the maximum week’s pay and the maximum total payment differ — and since 6 April 2026 the NI limits are higher than Great Britain’s. Using GB figures would understate an NI payment.
